The lovely tree with golden leaves was a a beautiful addition tothe
entrance of Hoyt Lake. It was destroyed by the October storm. See the
next two photos.
Destroyed by the October storm of 2007, the beautiful tree lies
in pieces (like so many others did a week after the storm). See next
photo also.
Even this stump was later removed leaving no sign (except in our
collective memory of the beautiful tree that stood at the entrance
to Hoyt Lake.
Directly across the street, another tree near the steps to Albirht-Knox
Art Gallery was badly damaged by the October storm. Here it's in shadow
in the bottom left of this photo (see the next photo in this series,
and other photos in the October Storm archives to see more of the damage
done by the October storm.
