Welcome to the Rupp,
Baase, Pfalzgraf, &
Cunningham Buffalo
Cams. Our cameras are located in Buffalo's historic
Liberty Building located at the corner of Main and Court
Streets. It was designed by architect Alfred C. Bossom, and
construction was completed in 1929. The building stands 305 feet
tall, and has 23 floors. It sports two reduced-scale replicas of
Batholdi's Statue of Liberty, sculpted by Leo Lentelli. The
Liberty Building is home to several local businesses and prominent
Buffalo law firms. Downtown

The view of Lafayette Square, the site of the summer
"Concert in the Square", is temporarily offline.
Our firm is expanding into new office space and the camera is on
vacation until the construction crews are done. In the meanwhile,
we turned on the Main Street cam. See the pedestrian mall and
the Metro Rail. |

Why add the Buffalo Cam to your list of “favorites”? Well,
in addition to being able to see different views of the beautiful Art
Deco design of City Hall and historic Niagara Square, as well as
victory celebrations for the Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres, the
cam’s eye view allows local area travelers and our Canadian
neighbors headed for Buffalo an opportunity to check actual weather
conditions in the city. |

Buffalo weather isn’t nearly as cloudy as say, Buffalo’s
“sister city” Seattle. And during the summer months (June through
mid September) weather is usually in the mid ’70s and sunny, with low
humidity (unlike hot and humid cities such Boston, Philadelphia, New
York and, of course, Washington, D.C.). Buffalo is thought of as being
one of the snow capitals of the North. However, Buffalonians know that
most of the heavy snow that their city is known for actually falls
about forty miles to south, in places like Colden and Ellicottville (“Ski
Country”), and not in Buffalo itself. During winter, blowing and
drifting snows are the main reason city driving in Buffalo can become
difficult.
However, weather patterns are changing nationwide! What
the future holds for Buffalo is anyone’s guess. How the Buffalo Cam
documents weather in Buffalo should prove to be very interesting indeed.
