March 2007: Old construction: H.R. Richardson's Buffalo Psychiatric Center is a very compelling yet strangely inappropriate building for treatment the mentally ill. Looking over the grounds one has to ask what kind of person would think of housing people desperately in need of hope in such a dark prison like facility? Nevertheless, the complex houses an amazing group of buildings worth which are certainly worth preserving, even if one has to ask: “for what purpose?” Of course, it might be best served by letting Hollywood in on the secret, and allow them to film to true story of what went on between these dark walls. Rumor has it some very bad things used to go within these walls!
